"The Wildest Film Festival In The West"

FIRST OF A KIND.

Unlike most timed film competitions in cities and suburbs, Cerro Gordo’s picturesque views and historic buildings will serve as a unique backdrop to participants’ films.

This film festival occurs in an abandoned mining town rich with stories untold. Its vast landscapes and historic accommodations will add to the film production experience.

The film Festival

FAQ

How much does it cost to participate? This event is FREE to participate in!

Can I sign up if I have a team?

We prefer participating filmmakers to assemble their own teams of up to 5 (including crew + actors).

Solo sign-ups are welcome and if we get enough, we will consider the option of creating a team of those participants.

Will equipment be provided?

Our goal is to provide: cameras, lenses, microphones, tripods, and portable power to participants. Participants will need to bring a capable laptop and charger. More information on gear will be released closer to the festival date.

Where will we sleep?

Participants are invited to stay at the Saddle Campground Area and should bring a tent, sleeping pad, a sleeping bag, and a pillow.

Will there be electricity, cell service, or Wifi?

Electricity will be accessible throughout the town. Any cell service other than AT&T will be spotty. There is Wi-Fi that covers most of town and is usually enough to text, make Wi-Fi calls, download music, etc. The town of Lonepine does have Wifi. Consider packing a battery pack.
